The primary shopping center in Folsom is The Palladio. They have a broad mix of stores with national brands, such as Barnes and Noble and Whole Foods, along with home decor shops and luxury clothing. From June to October, The Palladio hosts a Saturday concert series in the Piazza that is fun for all ages.
At Karen’s Bakery & Cafe you will find gourmet bakery items and fresh meals in a casual setting. Everything is made with fresh, local ingredients so they provide a wonderful seasonal selection of menu items. Their corned beef hash is made with cured corned beef made in-house and their bakery items are made fresh every day. They also provide quick, ready-made meals that are easy to grab and go in a hurry.
Chicago Fire Pizza also makes everything fresh, in-house, from their pizza dough to their sauces and dressing. They are famous for their Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, but also have thin crust options, pasta, salads, and sandwiches.
Sutter Street Steakhouse features a multi-award winning Executive Chef and ownership team. They specialize in U.S.D.A. Prime steaks, Main lobster, and fresh market seafood entrees. Be sure you save room for their banana cheesecake.
Things to Do
Folsom’s biggest night out happens at the annual Folsom LIVE with concerts and dancing in Historic Folsom and Lights Up Sutter Street.
The Harris Center is a visual and performing arts center at Folsom Lake College. Their shows include performances by a string quartet, Broadway musicals like The Sound of Music, Disney’s Newsies, and many other performing arts.
At the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area you can enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, water skiing, boating, fishing, and camping. The bridges around the lake are a favored area for photographers. The bike trail is 32-miles long and connects to several parks in Sacramento County before ending in Old Sacramento. The trails and bikeways in Folsom are extensive and a favored feature of the area. There are over 50 miles of trails to enjoy connecting parks, shopping areas, and many other points of the city.
