Sutter’s Fort State Historic State Park contains information regarding California’s frontier history and the impending gold rush that altered the history of the State forever. Animal lovers who reside in Sacramento visit the Sacramento Zoo and observe over 500 animals. The Sacramento Zoo covers 14 acres and participates in conservation projects within the state and abroad.
